Tortuguero National Park is you MUST Stop while in Costa Rica. Discover its Network of canals, lagoons and dense rainforests and see the turtles hatch. The park stretches north along the Caribbean coast up to the village of Tortuguero, which has a small population of around 500, no cars, and is located on a relatively narrow spit of land between the beach and a canal. Just north of Tortuguero are the various lodges and hotels.

Mawamba Lodge The lodge has an area of 15 acres, with perhaps the best location your mind can imagine in front of the beach and a gorgeous view of the canals. The ideal place for nature lovers and adventurers. The beautiful gardens and rustically rooms, combined with the lush and exotic jungle vegetation, exotic birds and wildlife create the perfect balance between comfort and nature. Mawamba has two Harbors, large and beautiful swimming pool, Jacuzzi, gift shop, relaxing little ranches with hammocks, self guided nature trails, a butterfly garden, volleyball court, direct access to the beach and most important, a conference room with A.C. that is used daily for naturalist speeches about the park.

Laguna Lodge Laguna Lodge is a rain forest ecotourism lodge, a leader among this tropical country’s hotels and resorts with an extra touch in style, comfort and personalized service. It lies along Costa Rica’s northern Caribbean Zone, an exclusive location on a narrow strip of land between the sea on one side and the Tortuguero-Lagoon on the other. Laguna Lodge offers one or two or three day packages that include transportation, meals, naturalist guides, tours to the Tortuguero National Park canals, the village of Tortuguero, the Turtle Museum of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. Additional activities include fishing trips for Tarpon, Snook, among other species. Kayaking is available so you can explore some of the canals on your own if you have a chance.

Ilan Ilan Lodge We start our adventure from San José at the National Theater, built in 1897 and considered to be one of the most beautiful theaters in Latin America. On our way out from the Central Valley, we pass through the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Its landscape is entirely made of high mountains covered by thick forest and deep, fast flowing rivers forming deep canyons. After a technical stop at the cafeteria and a visit to the banana plantation, we'll start the best part of the trip: we will depart to TORTUGUERO aboard small tourist boats specifically designed to travel through the canals.

Rana Roja Lodge The Lodge Tortuguero Rana Roja is located next to the Tortuguero National Park. The rooms are singular lodge cabins, equipped with hot water and built in harmony with nature.

Aninga Lodge The hotel is situated in a privileged location, right next to the Tortuguero lagoon. Exotic green vegetation, rainforest, and dense and alive gardens surround the rooms and the main facilities buildings as well as the swimming pool.

Pachira Lodge The lodge is strategically located only 5 minutes away from the extraordinary Tortuguero National Park, and right across the main "canal" facing the town of Tortuguero. Surrounded by a network of very scenic canals, this is considered one of the most exotic regions of the world, characterized by its rich in flora and fauna.

Turtle Beach Lodge The area of Tortuguero is rightfully called “The Amazon of Costa Rica” because access is only by boat on Jungle Rivers. Turtle Beach Lodge, 5 miles north of the town of Tortuguero, is a secluded resort spanning 175 acres with miles of jungle trails, a meandering private canal, and a half mile of beach adjoining still more isolated beaches. The lodge accommodates approximately 80 guests; assisted by a well trained staff and guides who ease you into an exciting jungle experience. Stay in the beautifully landscaped cabinas, swim in our turtle shaped pool, relax

Las Baulas Beautiful hotel totally renovated situated in a privileged location.

Samoa Lodge In the middle of the tropical jungle, where the flora and fauna create a spectacular natural scene, the mystic of the area, the Caribbean tradition and the various attractions let you perfectly enjoy the gifts of nature that are the reasons why our country is called “Costa Rica” and why our hotel is located in the middle of the paradise.

Tortuga Lodge The all pervasive presence of the water blurs distinctions. As your boat moves slowly through the forest, you are immersed in a world where the forest merges with the rivers and the water becomes part of the tree. Land and water, indoors and outdoors lose part of their meaning. The first 10 rooms built at Tortuga Lodge were dark and enclosed. Now whatever was useful from those rooms has been recycled into the community, and all rooms at Tortuga Lodge have almost as much window area as walls.

Manatus Hotel A room at Manatus Hotel begins with an extraordinary sense of peace and comfort. Your guest room is designed to inspire, its beauty connects you with the surrounding environment of a wildlife sanctuary and the water canals, while ensuring your comfort and convenience. Here at Manatus Hotel, the first class experience is the rule rather than the exception. We offer all the possibilities for family getaways, romantic escapades, vacations and wildlife adventures.
