The Hotel Cabinas Tropical is situated in the small village Puerto Viejo de Talamanca at the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Located at the edge of the village, it is only 150 yards walking distance to the ocean.The Hotel Cabinas Tropical has ten rooms. Eight are doubles and two are triple rooms. All rooms have a private bathroom, hot water (no electrical shower heads), refrigerator, fans, mosquito nets, quality mattresses and a terrace with hammocks.We also have rooms eqipped with air conditioning and cable TV. At Cabinas Tropical we offer free wireless internet for our guests.In the garden you will find a traditional rancho with palm thatched roof and hammocks to relax in a tropical surrounding with orchids and ornamental palms. The location at the edge of town offers tranquillity without much traffic and at the same time only short walking distances to the restaurants, shops and stores of the village centre. Restaurants and places for breakfast can be found in vicinity of the hotel. Our Hotel Cabinas Tropical is owned by the Biologist Rolf  Blancke and his wife Juana. The hotel is the ideal starting point to explore the rich biological diversity of the  Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We offer guided rainforest tours and bird watching tours, all accompanied by the biologist Rolf Blancke.
